StreamKick offered a fresh perspective on streaming discovery, helping gaming enthusiasts discover and support Twitch streamers. The company created a unique discovery engine, StreamDNA, to weight search results based on user-defined parameters for the streamer's mood, temperament, content, style and more. StreamKick brought me on to help with wireframes and user interface design for the company's web-based app.
I worked with the two company founders and a team of four developers. I provided wireframes, user journey maps and front-end design. The owners and stakeholders shared a deep knowledge and background based on many years of industry experience. Once designs were approved I worked with the dev team to create CSS code for the React app.
StreamKick launched to much fanfare amongst the dedicated streaming audience. The discovery engine proved to be a valuable addition to the streaming ecosystem, and Twitch streamers appreciated the increase in exposure and revenue potential from having StreamKick as a valuable partner.
